Job Description

Workers will perform general construction and helper duties, including carrying materials, preparing work areas, assisting skilled workers, cleaning the construction site and completing other manual tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Previous construction experience is preferred, but a specialised trade qualification is not mandatory. Candidates must be physically fit and capable of performing demanding manual work.

Processing Time

The exact processing time depends on the authorities, the candidate’s nationality, the availability of embassy appointments, and the completeness of the documents. The process begins only after the complete candidate file has been submitted.

These figures are illustrative calculations. Actual monthly earnings depend on paid hours worked. Take-home pay depends on applicable taxes, insurance contributions and the worker’s circumstances. Salary is paid in Polish złoty; any euro equivalent will vary with the exchange rate.

Terms and Conditions

1. Employment period: The written contract must specify the exact start and end dates and match the approved work authorisation. Seasonal work is generally limited to nine months in a calendar year.

2. Probation: The demand letter specifies an initial probationary period of one month, subject to a lawful contract arrangement.

3. Working hours: Daily hours, weekly schedules and rest days must be confirmed by the employer before the candidate accepts the offer.

4. Salary: PLN 31.40 gross per hour, as stated in the demand letter.

5. Overtime: Availability and payment arrangements must be stated in the contract and comply with applicable Polish law.

6. Food and accommodation: Availability, costs and any deductions must be confirmed in writing.

7. Transport: Travel to Poland and transport between accommodation and the workplace must be agreed before departure.

8. Insurance and deductions: Applicable insurance contributions, taxes and deductions must be explained in the contract and payroll documentation.

9. Workplace rules: Workers must follow lawful company rules, safety instructions and assigned duties.

10. Leave and notice: Entitlements and notice requirements depend on the contract type and applicable Polish law.

11. Disputes: Both parties should first seek an amicable resolution. Unresolved matters may be referred to the competent authorities.

12. Replacement and return travel: The demand letter assigns replacement and return-ticket arrangements to the recruiter in certain cases during probation or following resignation or abandonment of work. These responsibilities must be clearly recorded in the employer–recruiter agreement.

Documents Required from the Candidate

1. Passport copy: With at least 12 months’ validity.

2. European-format CV: Showing previous employment, relevant experience and skills for the selected position.

Poland Seasonal Work Permit Processing Time

1. Work permit type: Type S — Seasonal Work Permit.

2. Estimated processing time: Around one month, allowing approximately 30–45 calendar days from submission of the complete application.

3. Start of processing: After the employer receives all required documents and submits the application to the competent District Labour Office.

4. Possible delays: Incomplete documents, additional verification or a high volume of applications may extend the processing time.

For applicants outside Poland, this estimate covers the initial application registration and the certificate needed for the visa application. The final Type S permit is issued after arrival and completion of the required formalities.

Visa appointment waiting time and visa processing are separate. The 30–45-day period is our processing estimate and is subject to the authority’s decision.

Food, accommodation and local transport costs remain subject to the employer’s written confirmation.
